You are never quite ready to start fresh, begin a new life in a whole new country. You can never understand what is going to be like, how you are going to cope up with everything. You expect something, but it’s nothing like you’d ever imagine it to be. You have a strange feeling in your chest right before you go. You know you are going to miss the place you’ve grown up in, the people, your family. But there is something more, something that stays there, at the back of your mind. You know that you’ll never be the same person again. You’ll never be this version of yourself and you know you’re going to miss that. With every new choice you develop a new side of your personality. In the process, you might lose some of your traits and bring to light some new ones. It’s interesting yet terrifying.
New beginnings are always hard and scary. You know nothing and no one. But day by day, you gain more and more experience. You start to create a new life around you. Because even though you deny it at first, this is your new life. This is how it’s going to be like from now on and you can only embrace it and make the best of it.
So, forget about that old version of yourself and let the new one blossom. You might surprise yourself.
I feel like once you start growing up, you start to realise that classic things are much better. I, myself, have been through a journey (life and style based) that proved me some things. Therefore, I decided to show you something I’d wear, for instance, on a university day: few items, but well thought ones. I picked this chromatic pallet because it inspires somehow a balance between summer and autumn. It’s lady-like and playful in a classy manner (baby pink rules- cough cough). Now let’s talk about each piece, shall we?
Upsides: the colour, the material, the design. It’s simple, yet not plain. It has a bit of everything that makes an item worth buying. It can be paired with trousers or jeans as well. ( Did I mention is baby pink? Did I?)
I believe that this design is flattering for my body type, which would be the “clepsydra” kind. Fits like a glove. The floral print contours the feminine vibe of the whole setting.
The ZARA Shoes
I love these ones. They are sooo simple but they pop out due to the vinyl texture. Not to mention that you will feel like you are barefoot- suuuper comfortable.
The ZARA Bag
I was looking for a university bag and when I saw this one I knew right away that I’m going to buy it. The material is amazing because it resists to rainy weather and it seems like it can support a great amount of weight. It’s so nicely designed and it has many compartments which is amazing. You can organise it easily and have space for as many books as your university may request. Is it going to be heavy? Hell yeah! But who doesn’t like a good workout while looking stunning? I know I do!
If where you go to uni the days tend to be a bit rainy, don’t be discouraged, put on a coat and a pair of tights and you’re good to go!
